Our one-on-one housing counseling services allow individuals to work with a HUD-certified counselor to receive personalized, expert advice and suggestions tailored to their specific living situation. Our Foreclosure Prevention Program assists homeowners by mediating with their lender for past due mortgage payments. Counselors can also help homeowners pursue solutions with their local Treasurer regarding delinquent property taxes.

This program currently does NOT have funds to provide financial assistance for delinquent mortgages or property taxes. 

Housing Counseling services are FREE and available to residents of St. Clair, Sanilac, Huron, Lapeer, Tuscola, and Macomb counties.
