Our one-on-one housing counseling services allow individuals to work with a HUD-certified counselor to receive personalized, expert advice and suggestions tailored to their specific living situation. The housing counselor will help the individual determine how much “home” they can afford and will discuss what options may be available to them. Housing counseling services include the creation of a household budget, a tri-merge credit review, a housing action plan, and providing referrals. 

This FREE service is open to residents of St. Clair, Sanilac, Huron, Lapeer, Tuscola, and Macomb counties. 

The Program DOES NOT have funds for down payment, closing costs, or home purchase.  Referrals can be provided to other agencies as needed.
