JOB TITLE: Weatherization Secretary
PROGRAM: Weatherization
SUPERVISOR: Weatherization Manager
STATUS: Secretary, Non-Exempt
WAGES: $16.56 an hour
The Weatherization Secretary supports the department by processing applications, verifying eligibility, completing data entry, and maintaining organized and compliant client and contractor files.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – JOB SPECIFIC
- Intake: Receive and respond to client inquiries providing courteous and timely assistance including clear instructions on next steps.
- Clerical: Accurately perform clerical and data entry duties as assigned.
- Record Keeping: Maintain current client and contractor files and data entry of information in program specific software. Provide data as required for reporting purposes.
- Track: Assist with tracking communications and outcomes.
- Review: Perform random reviews to ensure all files contain the information/documents required.
- Recruitment: Assist with the recruitment of potential program applicants.
- Support: Provide support as needed, including cross-training and providing temporary backup coverage for assigned tasks within the department and other assigned departments, as needed.
- Other: Additional duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – ORGANIZATIONAL
- Demonstration of Values: Understand BWCA’s mission and purpose. Adhere to BWCA standards of conduct, program philosophy (where applicable), and cultural contract.
- Customer Service: Provide quality customer service in a prompt, respectful, and professional manner. Conduct formal/informal assessment of eligibility for BWCA programs and make referrals as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working with low-income individuals.
